After a leak, we rebuilt all three bathrooms in this home over the holidays, while the family and their pets were still living there. Each bath got floating vanities, wall-hung toilets and new tile, and the hall bath got a new layout.
Primary bath: tore out the old shower stall and built a new tiled walk-in shower on a Schluter shower pan, with a pebble floor, recessed niche, bench and frameless glass door. Added a floating vanity and a wall-hung toilet.
Hall bath: reworked the layout, reversed the door, and moved the plumbing to the adjacent wall. Installed a new tub with Schluter waterproofing, tiled the surround, and added a glass panel, floating vanity and wall-hung toilet.
Downstairs half bath: replaced the water-damaged ceiling and wall, framed for a floating vanity, and installed 12x24 floor tile with glass subway tile wainscot, a vessel sink and new fixtures.
New drywall, texture and paint in each bathroom.
Retextured the garage ceiling after the mitigation company finished.
Helped the homeowner choose materials and finishes for all three rooms.
What Made It Tricky
Three bathrooms, over the holidays, with the family at home
We coordinated with the water mitigation company and rebuilt all three bathrooms over Christmas, while the homeowners and their pets were still living in the house. That meant planning the work so the family always had a working space, keeping the site clean and contained every day, and keeping the pets safe around the work.
“He did an Excellent job! I was also impressed with their Tile Installer, Devon!”
